Today’s first shipment from Burnie of iron ore from Shree’s Nelson Bay River Mine is good news for the State, but let’s just hope it’s not the last such shipment.
The risk is if Labor is re-elected they will again be held ransom by the Greens, and after destroying forestry over the past four years, mining is likely to be their next victim.
The only way to ensure a strong future for our vital mining industry is to elect a majority Hodgman Liberal Government, which will support our mining industry unequivocally, and can guarantee not one more rock will be locked up.
– Adam Brooks MP, Shadow Minister for Mining
