A majority Liberal Government will invest $300,000 on improving recreational access in the Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area in line with its commitment of reversing the Labor-Green lock-ups. Today’s first shipment from Burnie of iron ore from Shree’s Nelson Bay River Mine is good news for the State, but let’s just hope it’s not the last such shipment. The risk is if Labor is re-elected they will again be held ransom by the Greens, and after destroying forestry over the past four years, mining is likely to be their next victim.
